Dr Agarwal completed his Specialist Registrar training in General (Internal) Medicine and Acute Medicine in South London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery in 2010.
He then worked as a Consultant Physician in Acute and General Medicine at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust for four years. He moved to Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2014, where he has been since.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Endocrinology and Diabetes from Queen Mary’s University of London. He is also a member of the British Society of Echocardiography and Society for Acute Medicine.
He manages conditions including breathlessness, chest pain, pneumonia, as well as diabetes and other hormonal disorders including thyroid, to name a few. He has a special interest in managing venous thromboembolism (clots in lung-PE or leg-DVT). He prides himself in ensuring patient safety and has a strong leadership role including Site Lead Physician for Tunbridge Wells Hospital and has also been the Lead Acute Physician of the Tunbridge Wells Acute Medical Unit since 2015.
