Professional Profile
Mr Lee David graduated from the Royal London Hospital Medical College in 1994. Following completion of Basic Surgical Training, he became Knee Research Fellow at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He has presented and published numerous papers and won prizes at national and international level in the fields of Joint Reconstruction and Cartilage Transplantation.
His Specialist Training in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery was undertaken on the South East rotation with advanced training and Fellowships in Joint Reconstruction and Knee Surgery at Stanmore and Guy’s & St. Thomas’s Hospitals. He has been the British Orthopaedic Trainees Association representative on the Specialty Advisory Committee and the Intercollegiate Specialty Board.
He was appointed as a Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery to Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2008. Since his appointment he has developed specialist interests in hip and knee replacement and revision surgery, knee arthroscopy and lower limb trauma surgery. He is currently the Royal College of Surgeons Tutor for the Trust, having been Specialty Tutor in Trauma & Orthopaedics. He is Clinical lead for Hip Fractures and the Enhanced Recovery lead for Hips and Knees at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
He strives to provide excellent care for all his patients and has excellent outcomes with low complication and revision rates.
